Christmas / wintery makeup

SInce the christmas season is here and winter is here... I decide to do a makeup look for this festive holidays... I came up witha very sweet and pretty look using all Aery Jo Products... I used a very natural liquid foundation on the skin keeping the skin very natural and fresh looking. This ensures the skin to give off a very healthy dewy look for the winter. ON the eyes i decided to use a greyish toned eyeshadow and blended in with a matte black eyeshadow creating a very soft smokey look on the eyes. For a finishing touch on the eyes, I added a bit of shimmer particles on the eyes to give it an extra pop. On the eyes, I used a very peachy blush for that healthy looking flush on the cheeks. To finish the look, I used a very soft pink almost close to a white color on the lips and topped it over with a clear lipgloss..

Makeover with Wai SUm

And so it is... I decided to do a makeover with one of my best friends... Foo Wai Sum.. She's a gorgeus girl in and out and i was thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed glamming her up... I decide to do a really bright red lip and a thick liner for the eyes and kept the face looking very natural looking. I was inspired by how kimora looked in the latest Harper's Bazaar Malaysia and decided to recreate the look on her but still wearable and looking very sexified and glamarous

Men makeup 101...

Men makeup is one of the easiest makeup to do in the world. Well basically, makeup for men is just to enhance features of the guys and basically make them look fresh, healthy and glowing all day long.

Men makep is qite simple ... all one have to do is just to even out the skintone using a foundation and blend it well into the skin making it as natural as possible... You can add a little bit of bronzer to the cheekbone areas for a soft contour for a masculine look and powder certain areas with translucent powder to avoid shine... Matte products are essential in men makeup so avoid products with shimmer. You can also groom the brows with a brow groomer and fill in certain sparse areas.

Stage Makeup - Shimmery or Matte?

Im always in love with stage makeup or basically makeup for dancers or performers... Well I have tried many things in the past and after looking at my work from the past and recent work... I kinda noticed that my past work were like uh oh... Well question is... When it comes to stage makeup should we keep it matte or shimmery? Well personally, I used to love applying shimmer and glitter back then... I used to feel that the more shimmery the nicer it looks... But nowadays, it seems like too much shimmer looks as if it looks overly done. It doesnt mean that I dont use shimmer at all nowadays...

Shimmer can be used but personally i think it is to emphasize on certain parts. For instance I love emphasizing on the eyes when it comes to dancers. Hence, I tend to use a shimmery eyeshadow on the lid and blended into a matte colored eyeshadow in the crease of the eye. Basically its all about mixing the colors and type of shadows... However I still keep the entire looking very fresh and matte... You obviously do not want ur face to look like a shiny disco ball and personally i think that it will look very poorly done. You want people to notice your face and not the shimmer...

Summer Fever Barbara Bort Bronzing Powder (review)

Well if u ask me wad type of bronzer I have in my kit... There is one prodct i totally recommend. That is the "Summer Fever Barbara Bort Bronzing Powder'. One of the best bronzers i've used. This product comes in a compact form. Perfect for a person who wants to look all bronzed up for a night out or trying to fake a golden bronze tan to their skin. This product is very pigmented and is perfect for any use. For me personally. I apply it to my clients face as a highliter to highlight certain parts of the face or to use it to dust around the chest for that extra bronzy look. This product however is not recommended for photography because of the amount of shimmer that is present in the product how ever it does work well for a normal everyday look and for those who like shimmer... For me I give a 3/5 rating...

Cheap products which are good for photoshoots?

Wad products should I use when it comes to being on set in front of the camera?... Well Most people or makeup artists would be answering you HD makeup by MAC, Bobbi Brown, MakeupForever, and all those High End products... Well you cant deny that these products definitely are the best HD makeup in the world producing HD pictures and most probably is being recognized throughout the entire world.

Recently I came across a product which I too adore very much... Its very affordable and worth it... Well obviously you cant compare it to the high end products. But it does work well with photos.

Introducing the REVLON PHOTOFINISH LIQUID FOUNDATION! I am now a huge fan of this product. This foundation gives off a very nice natural glowy sheen to the face and works well in photos... Many might have said dat this product has particles of shimmer in it which will ruin photos but for me I find dat those small particles of shimmer does not appear on camera after being blended well into the skin.

I gotta admit Im giving it a rate of 4 out of 5 for this product.

Show Me How You Burlesque

Well isn't it a wee bit weird? Well why does the topic Burlesque actually appear her on dis blog. Well the answer is simple. Obviously the makeup in this movie is PHENOMENAL! I am absolutely amazed by the different variations and looks that is showcased in this movie. From very natural neutral looks to bold and dramatic looks. Watching this movie definitely reminds me of the all time famous 50/60's pin up look where red bold lips are famous during that time. The makeup that is showcased in 'Burlesque' definitely showcases the more classical look on Christina Aguilera and I am definitely buying it. It's hot, sensual and sexified!
